Buy It or Build It : Taking the Plunge

You’re a self-made man or woman. Proud of what you have achieved over the last ten years. In touch with your customers and their needs – until now. Like all growing businesses, yours is at a critical size at which the person at the top cannot any longer know everything that is going on. There are staff in Production whose names you don’t know; there are places downstairs that you found last week and only by chance! And the sales team keep on about not being able to manage the customers any more.

They keep talking about A CRM System. “It will do just what we want. I’ve read in this magazine…”.

And you don’t know where to go for independent advice.

You know that there are a number of CRM systems out there; and you know CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. But how does this mythical system help you and your business? What will it do for you? Why do you need it, or more correctly, why does your business need it?

Before you spend any more sleepless nights tossing unanswerable questions at passing sheep, engage an independent adviser. Spend some time with him or her, let this person into your hopes and dreams for you business and let them go and talk to your staff. The result will be a business case for your new system: a document that you can understand and isn’t full of jargon.

The adviser will also be able to survey the CRM market and, knowing what you and your business need from the earlier fact-finding, produce a short list of suitable systems for your consideration. The list should give a range of price and functionality, though the two don’t always go together.

Your adviser can also manage the introduction of this new system, in collaboration with the supplier. He will consider what is good for you and your business and ensure that the installation proceeds with the minimum if disruption. He will ensure your staff are prepared for the new system; trained to work with the new tools; prepared for the inevitable changes to working practices and processes.

In short, the adviser will give you peace of mind.

Precision Design Technology Ltd. can provide all the interface activities you need to take the strain off you so you can concentrate on your business, while we concentrate on enabling you to have a cost effective system for your business.
